Video Streaming
Use this page to setup a live video stream from your camera(s).
In the list you can select one or more devices used for streaming in the box.
Below the list you can change the setting for each of the streaming devices:
- Downstream bitrate is the bandwith used for one streaming session. This is measured in Kbit/sec. A high bitrate gives a better quality, but requires more bandwith. Remember that you might get more than one user at the time, so a 30 Kbit stream will use 60 Kbit of your bandwidth if two users are viewing the stream at the same time.
- The maximum number of simultaneous users can be adjusted to keep within the limits of your available bandwith.
- The stream port is the tcp/ip port used. If you have more than one streaming device you must give them different ports, fx. 8080 and 8081.
- TinCam can create a compressed .wmv video file while streaming. This file will contain what TinCan has streamed.
- The 'IP address' setting is used for creating the .html webpage. To link to the stream correctly, TinCam will need to know the IP address of your computer. See IP Address for details.
